We want to know who you are and what you desire for your big day. For your trial, we have you bring pictures of the various makeup and hair looks you like. We discuss these looks with you going over what you love and don’t love, how these looks will work for your personal features and coloring and how it plays into your entire bridal style.
Two weeks prior to your makeup trial stop using any skin care products that contain Retin-A, retinols or benzyl peroxide. These agents may be effective for your skin’s needs, but they dry the skin and that’s not a good look under foundation.
Start to exfoliate 1 to 2 times a week and moisturize well. If you’re acne prone please email us to ask Erin what scrub and moisturizer she recommends. She has years’ experience as a Medical Aesthetician to help guide you to your best skin.
Please bring multiple pictures of makeup looks you love. Pinterest is a great resource for this. We want to know what you like and even what you don’t like. For your hair trial please show up with your hair washed the day before with light product in it. Your hair should be completely dry and not washed the morning of your trial unless you’re exceptionally oily. Again, bring multiple pictures of the hairstyles you like. If you have your veil and hair accessories bring those with you as well.
Having a photo of your gown is also helpful so we can see the style and neckline to help create a hairstyle that compliments your entire look. Most importantly, come with an open mind. Just like shopping for a wedding gown, sometimes you have to try it on to see whether or not it works for you.
Following these steps will help make this an exciting and positive experience for you!
