Your hair and makeup trial is where you get to really know your makeup artist and hair stylist. This is your chance to try out your desired bridal look and see it all together, so let’s make it an incredible experience. There are some things we need you to do to get ready so we can make the magic happen.

We’re visual and creative people which is why we’re the best at what we do so please bring pictures of the makeup and hair style you’re going for. If you’re not sure, do your best to bring looks you think look beautiful and we can help you elaborate on those ideas and customize them to your unique features.

For your hair trial please show up with your hair washed the day before with light product in it. Your hair should be completely dry and not washed the morning of your trial unless you have an excessively oily scalp. If you plan on using a veil or hair accessories it would be ideal if you brought those with you.

Two weeks prior to your makeup trial stop using any skin care products that contain Retin-A, retinols or benzyl peroxide. These agents may be effective for your skin’s needs, but they dry the skin and that’s not a good look under foundation.

Start to exfoliate 1 to 2 times a week and moisturize well with an appropriate exfoliant and moisturizer – if you’re unsure, ask Erin so she can give you professional advice, she has years of experience as an Aesthetician to help guide you to your best skin.

Having a photo of your wedding gown is also helpful so we can see the style and neckline to help create a hairstyle that compliments your entire look. We love seeing all the details so feel free to show us as much details as you’d like. Most importantly, come with an open mind. Just like shopping for a wedding gown, sometimes you have to try it on to see whether or not it works for you.

Following these steps will help make this an exciting and positive experience for you!
